ON THE TOPIC OF SHUFFLE:
Consider it a buckin’ bronco. A bull ride. No quarters needed. How long can you ride? I’ve always considered my shuffle a bit of Russian Roulette. Not everyone will have the same jumping off point…..what will YOURS be? will it be a 30 min 1969 Dark Star? Or Britney Spears? Some of you will NOT get Tardy for the Party. Some will not share my nostalgic fondness for some of these 5th Dimension and adjacent tracks. It’s cool. I am not worried about it. Go outside when you are done. :-)
Why shuffle? Well, for now, no one is here 24 7 so that works. But in general, I believe in the randomness of life, how weird ass coinkeedink can send you to the most magical spaces. You have to let it in though. You must Leave ROOM for the X factor. If you program every minute, if you hold the reins too tightly, there is no space for the magical, the divine. (And yes, Music is Divine.) That’s the short of it, for now. And yah - no ads. Yuck. They are…..so disruptive.
